Is Age Really Just Numbers In Dating?
Age is just a number and it doesn’t matter how old is she as long as you love her, right? However, for some people age is still a factor for them to consider. Maybe because they are thinking that older women or older men don’t look good to be with when having a date. This is especially true if your date is twenty years older than you. Well, for a girl who has a partner that is older than her is socially acceptable. Like for example the relationship of Catherine Zeta Jones with Michael Douglas. Their relationship works pretty well but what if the woman is the one older that a man. Is this kind of relationship still socially acceptable for many of us?
An older woman having a partner that is younger than her is not yet accepted in the society. Though, if someone has this kind of relationship, who cares right? Ok, I have a here a story about that kind of relationship. I have a friend that goes out dating with someone that is older than him. Well, as expected many of our friends reacted that the relationship is not good to look at plus a woman has kids. We are talking to him and having a relationship with her is so inappropriate. Sometimes we ask him to go out and let him date someone of his age. Though he also goes out with this girl but he keeps on coming back seeing his partner that is older than him. We talk to him seriously and ask him what makes him fall for her. Well, he answered us straight. He said that the woman is incredibly hot and very understanding. She cares for him and very supportive. The woman accepts his flaws and she’s very independent unlike younger women that is insecure and cannot handle their own pressure and stress in life.
What he said makes us think that he is somehow right. Yet, we still insist that time will come he can also find someone suitable for him. He laugh on us and told us what makes us very uneasy with this kind of relationship? He said that age is just a plain number and it has nothing to do with the feeling he has right now. In addition, he told us not to call his girlfriend as sugar momma because she’s not. Though, it is true that the girl has money because she is working and lives independently.
People in most societies should learn to accept the fact that in the near future having relationship with younger men or women is not an issue anymore. People must know that when it comes to love nothing is impossible. If the society accepts that older men having a relationship with young ladies are not bad at all why not accept older women dating with young men? After all they both love each other. For someone who feels love, age doesn’t matter at all but for the people who are not feeling the same way as they are, it does matter! In this generation, not only the younger people should be broad minded. Each one us should be open minded and just try to accept the fact that a person in love doesn’t care what would people say about them.
Don’t you think it is already time to move on and upgrade what we believe? Age is just a number of years and nothing more than that. So, hey! Get out of your shell and free your emotions and love no matter what others say and even if she is older than you.
