After Cheating Dating Relationships-You May Be Jaded
After cheating dating relationships may never be like they were before the cheating happened. You may find that you are a little jaded now and do not quite trust like you once did. This is completely normal and can be worked through if you really want to work through it.
Cheating is far too common in relationships today and is the in the top five of the reasons couples get divorced. Learn what the signs are so you can figure things out and deal with them as soon as they come up.
One of the first things to look for if your spouse is cheating is a sudden decrease in displays of affection. Trying to keep things going with two separate people can be quite tiresome and if something’s gotta give it is probably the old something, and that, is you.
The cheater may also get defensive and act like they are angry when you bring up the fact they have “lost that lovin’ feeling” and you can probably bet they are having an affair. They may also brush off your advances too because they feel the guilt weighing heavily on them. After cheating dating relationships will suffer the very real consequences of breaking up.
Other activity you should be suspicious of is their sudden need to work late every night of the week or even spending more money and taking that money out of an ATM so you can’t track what is spent where, like a motel room or an expensive restaurant, like you would be able to do if they used a credit card.
Maybe they are at home but just as distant and spending more and more time on the internet. Locking themselves in the room where the computer is and password protecting things that never needed passwords before.
They may pick fights so they can justify leaving the house at odd hours and not coming home for a long time. When they are home they do not make eye contact with you and cannot sustain a simple conversation with you either. these are all signs that they are just not that into you anymore and are most likely seeing someone else.
In extreme cases where the guilt is too much for them to handle or they mistakenly start blaming you for their infidelity they may get violent and start physically abusing you. A word of caution, if, at any time, you ever feel that your life is in danger, do not hesitate to call someone you trust to help you get away from your spouse or partner and get to someplace safe. If they persist, call the police for protection and file a restraining order.
If you choose to get a divorce you may think that after cheating dating relationships may be a thing of the past. They don’t have to be. You can learn to trust again and who knows, you may be stronger for the experience and the next relationship may be the one that lasts forever.
